Shawn Moore To Take Over As Isotopes' Head Groundskeeper

August 20, 2009 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Albuquerque Isotopes Manager of Field Operations Shawn Moore will take over as the team's Director of Field Operations at the end of the season, supplanting Jarad Alley, who has taken a job with the Minnesota Twins.

Moore joined the 'Topes in 2008 after two seasons as a Seasonal Assistant with the Nashville Sounds and has worked closely with Alley to produce a field at Isotopes Park that has been singled out as the best in the Pacific Coast League for two straight years.

"It's an honor to follow in the big shoes of Jarad Alley, and I'm deeply appreciative for the opportunity to take over as Director of Field Operations for the Isotopes," said Moore. "This organization has such a great reputation in all of its areas and it's a privilege to continue the great tradition of excellence in respect to the playing surface."

Assuming Moore's old position will be Casey Griffin, who takes over as Manager of Field Operations after spending the summer as a Seasonal Assistant.

The Isotopes are back in town this Saturday for a 13-game homestand, the longest in team history, that kicks off with a visit by the Zooperstars on Saturday before a seat cushion giveaway to the first 3,000 fans on Sunday. Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
