Camden, NJ- A two-run fifth inning broke a 1-1 tie and the Camden Riversharks never looked back as they defeated the Somerset Patriots 4-1 at Cambell's Field on Friday night.
The Riversharks took a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI groundout by Toby Hall.
Somerset's lone run crossed the plate in the fifth to tie the game on an Iggy Suarez RBI single.
Camden regained the lead with two unearned runs on a double by Mike Lamb in the bottom of the frame.
The Riversharks added their last run on a solo home run by Raul Padron (5) for the 4-1 final.
Jake Dittler (1-2) allowed one run on five hits in seven innings pitched for the win. Jason Cromer (1-2) suffered the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits in six innings. Brian Stokes earned his first save with a scoreless ninth.
The 2011 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue on the road until Friday, May 20th when the Patriots return to TD Bank Ballpark for a 7:05 pm game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.
