March 1, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Worcester Sharks News Release

Manchester, NH - The Worcester Sharks (30-19-4-2, 66pts) were shutout for the second time in less than 24 hours after a 2-0 loss to the host Manchester Monarchs (34-14-5-2, 75pts) in front of 4,896 fans at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Aaron Dell was solid in net for Worcester as he made 30 saves but the Sharks offense came up short for the second straight game as Patrik Bartosak made 29 saves for Manchester in his first AHL shutout. Brian O'Neill and Jordan Weal each had a goal and an assist for the Monarchs as the Sharks were shorthanded a season high seven times in the loss.

Worcester was whistled for three consecutive penalties in the first 3:24 of the first period and Manchester would connect with a two man advantage at 3:03. Brian O'Neill (18th) fired a quick one timer from the side of the net after a great feed from Mike Richards for the only score of the opening frame. Manchester held a 7-3 shot advantage through 20 minutes of play.

A total of 31 shots were fired in the second period as Aaron Dell made 14 saves and Patrik Bartosak made 17 stops as the two teams headed into the second intermission with the Monarchs holding onto a 1-0 lead.

Manchester went ahead 2-0 at 6:45 of the third period as Jordan Weal's initial shot from the right circle was stopped by Dell but the rebound went off a Worcester player in front and into the Sharks net. Worcester fired nine more shots in the third period but came up empty on the Monarchs rookie netminder.

The Sharks overall record falls to 30-18-4-2, 66pts, and 13-11-2-1, 29pts on the road this season.
