
Several Americans Players Open Camp Today in San Jose

Allen, Texas- The new AHL franchise of the San Jose Sharks, the San Jose Barracuda, open training camp today in Northern California with several familiar names on the Barracuda roster.
A total of 23 players in camp today for the San Jose Barracuda, including several members of last season's ECHL Kelly Cup Championship roster; Greger Hanson, Gary Steffes, Vincent Arseneau, Chris Crane, Mike DiPaolo, David Makowski, Justin Baker and Joel Rumpel are all participating in camp.
"It's a great opportunity for all of us," said Americans forward and last season's ECHL goal scoring leader, Gary Steffes. "I'm very blessed and thankful for this chance to show the Barracuda what I can do at this level and hopefully make the roster."
Americans head coach and GM Steve Martinson will be out in San Jose all week helping with the AHL camp and observing many of his own players who are getting a chance to earn a spot on the American League roster.
