Mallards, Fox Sports Radio 1230 Team for Fifth Season
September 28, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. (September 28, 2015) - Fox Sports Radio 1230 will serve as the Quad City Mallards' radio home for a fifth successive season in 2015-16, the Mallards announced today.
Fox Sports Radio 1230 will broadcast the bulk of the Mallards' 72 regular season games, beginning with the Mallards' Saturday, October 17 visit to Wichita to take on the Thunder. A limited number of Mallards games- including the Flock's October 16 season opener against the Allen Americans- will not be broadcast on Fox Sports Radio but will air online at myqcmallards.net because of conflicts with University of Illinois basketball and football and Green Bay Packer football broadcasts.
"We're thrilled to have the Mallards back for another action-packed season," said Fox Sports Radio 1230 program director Ron Evans. "There is nothing better than supporting the Quad Cities' own professional hockey team and we can't wait for the season to start."
The full Fox Sports Radio 1230 broadcast slate will be updated throughout the campaign and will be available at myqcmallards.net. Brian Lavelle again this season provides the call of Mallards action.
"Our partnership with Fox Sports Radio 1230 has been tremendously beneficial to the Mallards since day one," said Mallards president Bob McNamara. "Fox Sports Radio 1230 has done a great job of bringing the excitement of Mallards hockey to the fans of the Quad Cities so, needless to say, we are very excited about starting our fifth season together."
After beginning the 2015-16 season on the road, the Mallards will return to the Quad Cities to play their home opener on Friday, October 23 at 7:05 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers. Mallards 2015-16 season tickets are now available. Season ticket holders enjoy significant savings of the walk-up ticket price and receive a host of exclusive benefits. For more season ticket information, fans can contact the Mallards at 309-277-1364 or info@myqcmallards.com.
