Series Finale Suspended in Sixth

(ROUND ROCK, TX) - The Round Rock Express will have to wait until June to see if they get their series sweep of the Iowa Cubs. Today's game was suspended in the sixth inning due to weather with the score tied at one. The two teams will pick up where they left off when the Express return to Iowa June 8-11. Round Rock won the first three games of the scheduled four game series 10-5, 15-4 and 4-1.

It was the Express' third suspended game in the past eight days. The Express won a 3-2 suspended game against the New Orleans Zephyrs in Round Rock that began on April 18 and was completed on April 19. The Express and Zephyrs will pick up their second suspended game, which began on April 20, on Sunday, June 18 at 5:00 p.m. when the Zephyrs return to The Dell Diamond. The game was suspended in the bottom of the second inning with one out and the Express leading 2-1.

The Express will travel to Omaha where they will have an off day tomorrow before taking on the Omaha Royals in a four game series beginning Thursday, April 27. Right-hander Jason Hirsh will get the nod for the Express and will be opposed by righty Brian Bass. The Express are a perfect 3-0 on the current road trip and have climbed back to the .500 mark for the season with a 9-9 record.
