Sens Sign Petgrave to PTO

The Belleville Senators have signed defenceman Matt Petgrave to a professional tryout agreement.

Petgrave, 26, has played in five games with Laval this season without recording a point but has tallied 20 points (six goals) in 40 games with the ECHL's Brampton Beast.

The Brampton native played four years at the University of New Brunswick alongside Sens defenceman Jordan Murray where they won to USports National titles (2016 and 2017).

Petgrave won an OHL championship with the Owen Sound Attack in 2011. In 243 junior games with Owen Sound and Oshawa, he scored 34 goals and 157 points.
