The Harrisburg Senators fell 5-3 to the Altoona Curve Thursday night at FNB Field. The Senators scored first for the second straight game, in the first inning, but couldn't hold the lead. Harrisburg scored twice in the first and then not again until the eighth inning. Altoona came back with a run in the third and then four in the sixth inning. In the last four innings, the Senators hit into two double plays and had a caught stealing.

The Big Play

With two on and one out in the top of the sixth inning, Jackson Glenn hit his second home run with Altoona, a three-run shot to give Altoona a 5-2 lead.

On Capitol Hill

Alex Troop went 5.1 innings and allowed five runs on five hits. He sailed through the first five innings and ran into trouble in the sixth. His outing ended when Jackson Glenn hit a tie-breaking three-run home run... Reid Schaller and Malvin Pena combined to go 3.2 scoreless innings.

With the Gavel

Robert Hassell III hit his fifth home run this season in the eighth inning... Terone Harris III had two hits including a two-run single in the first inning.

Filibusters

The teams combined to go 4-17 with runners in scoring position...After turning seven double plays in the first two games, the Senators hit into two double plays Thursday night... The time of the game was 2:30... The attendance was 4,251.

The Senators and Altoona Curve play game four of their six-game series Friday at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Stations 96.5 FM, 95.3 FM, and 1400 AM beginning at 6:45 p.m.
