December 18, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans will host the Lake Erie Monsters at The Blue Cross Arena on Friday, Dec. 20 at 7:05 p.m. in the Amerks' final home game before the team departs for Switzerland to compete in the prestigious Spengler Cup tournament.
For the second time this month, the Amerks are collecting toys to donate to the Pirate Toy Fund. Fans are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys in the Pirate Toy Fund donation boxes located in the lower atrium prior to the game. Any fan that donates a toy will be eligible to purchase "Buy One-Get One Free" tickets to that night's game or any Wednesday home game this season.
Friday's game will feature the premiere of this year's Amerks "12 Days of Hockey" video and a visit from Santa Claus, who will be in attendance at the game to pose for photos with fans. The Amerks will also be selling autographed "mystery" Amerks holiday ornaments for $10 apiece in the upper concourse.
The Amerks will continue to help get fans in the holiday spirit throughout the evening by giving away "12 Days of Hockey Prizes." The team will be giving away 12 different prize packages during the game from great partners, such as Buckmans Car Wash, The Distillery, New York Lottery, Pulse Limos of WNY, Taco Bell, Tim Hortons and TOPS, plus great prizes from the Amerks, including a suite night, ticket vouchers and more.
The Friday Amerks Happy Hour runs from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Upper Atrium Bar and features live music from Oxford Train and $2 Molson and Coors Light drafts. This Friday is also a Value Parking Night in the Civic Center Garage, with parking available for just $5 (for a savings of $3).
