Tonight, the SeaWolves begin a six-game road trip and a three-game series against the Binghmaton Mets (New York Mets) at NYSEG Stadium. Yesterday, the SeaWolves were shut out for the second time in three games as Logan Darnell tossed a gem en route to a 2-0 Rock Cats win over the âWolves. Erie, couple with losses by Harrisburg and Richmond, remain one game out of first place and two games ahead of the third place Squirrels...The SeaWolves are in a stretch of 21 straight games against the Eastern Division. Erie is 14-20 against Eastern Division opponents this season...The Mets enter play with the league's top record. They have won eight of the last 10 games and are coming off a series win over Richmond...Kyle Lobstein takes the mound tonight for Erie making his 15th start of the season and third against the Mets. Lobstein is 1-0 with a no-decision in his previous two starts against Binghamton. He beat the Mets at NYSEG Stadium on May 2. Lobstein earned a win, his first since May 12, in his last start at New Hampshire on May 15. In the game, he allowed two runs on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie won the game 16-2...RHP Logan Verrett takes the mound for the Mets making his 14th start and and second against the âWolves. Erie beat Verrett on May 2 when he allowed six runs on eight hits in six innings of work. Verrett has won his last two starts. In his last against Bowie, he allowed three runs on five hits with three walks and six strikeouts in seven innings.
