Altoona Curve News Release

CURVE, Pa. - After a short three-day road trip to Bowie, the Curve are back in town Monday to continue the fun with a jam-packed three days with New Britain (AA - Twins). The homestand will be filled with monkeys riding dogs herding sheep, fireworks and a day to cool off at the park under the sun.

On Monday, the Altoona will take on New Britain in a doubleheader starting at 6 p.m. with the one, the only Cowboy Monkey Rodeo in town for the second time ever in Curve, Pa. For those unacquainted with the act, it features monkeys that ride dogs and herd sheep! This popular act will be in Curve, Pa. on a Mirror Monday where fans can get $2 off UPMC Health Plan Home Run Junction seats with the coupon from the front page of the sports section in Monday's Altoona Mirror. An on-air personality from Hot 92 and Hot 100 will also be on hand promoting the event and participating in on-field activities.

The Monday matchup is also a Galliker's Kids' Club Day and all Kids' Club members are encouraged to wear western attire to complement the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo event. Members can also attend the Pregame Kids' Club Player Press Conference, which will take place beginning at 5:10 p.m. All kids' clubbers interested in attending the player press conference must report to the Laurel Eye Clinic Customer Service Booth at 5 p.m., just after gates open.

Tuesday night's game will feature postgame fireworks on a Two-for-Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. Fans can purchase two tickets, two hot dogs and two small popcorns for the price of one for the fireworks event thanks to Atlantic Broadband.

The final day of the series will come on Wednesday and it will be a special noon start time for the finale on a Super Splash Day. The concourse along the third-base line will be converted into a watery fun zone. There will be a dunk tank, water hoses, and more. The Altoona Fire Department will also be on-hand for the festivities to hose down patrons in the upper deck during the game.

Since it's a Wednesday it will also be a WALY 4-Pack Wednesday thanks to WALY 103.9. Fans can grab four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular 22oz. sodas for $35.
