The Erie SeaWolves won their second consecutive game as the clobbered the Altoona Curve, 15-1 at Blair County Ballpark on Saturday.

The 'Wolves got ahead of Curve starter Tony Watson in the top of the second. Jeff Frazier and Deik Scram each singled to start the inning. Joe Tucker stepped in and doubled over the left fielder's head, plating Frazier for a 1-0 lead. With runners at second and third, Alex Avila walked to load the bases for Shawn Roof. Roof hit into a double play, scoring Scram for a 2-0 Erie advantage.

The 'Wolves would go ahead 3-0 in the top of the third. Ryan Strieby walked with one out, moved to third on a Frazier double and scored on a groundout by Scram.

In the top of the fourth, the 'Wolves would add to the lead once more. Avila led off with a double. With one out, Scott Sizemore walked. With two outs, Brennan Boesch brought home both baserunners with a double down the right field line for a 5-0 Erie lead. Strieby followed with a single to right, plating Boesch for a 6-0 lead. Scram singled home Strieby for the fourth run of the inning to make it a 7-0 game in favor of the Howlers.

Altoona got on the board in the bottom of the fourth against Erie starter Luis Marte with their only run of the game. With two outs, Brad Corley connected on a solo home run to left, his second of the season and second against Erie to make it a 7-1 game.

In the top of the sixth, the 'Wolves would once again put up a four-spot. With one out, Strieby singled and Frazier walked, both moved up a base on a wild pitch. With two outs, Tucker was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Avila grounded to second, but an error by Anderson Machado allowed Strieby to score to make it 8-1 with the bases still loaded. Roof stepped in and was hit by a pitch, bringing home Frazier for a 9-1 lead. Sizemore followed with his fourth walk of the game, yet bringing another run home in Tucker for a 10-1 lead. The 'Wolves finished up the scoring when Avila came home on a wild pitch. It was the second of three four-run innings for Erie and it put them ahead 11-1.

In the top of the eighth, Erie would continue to pile on the runs. Tucker led off and reached on an error, Avila walked and Roof was hit by a pitch for the second time to load the bases. Sizemore grounded into a double play, bringing home Tucker for a 12-1 lead. Cale Iorg then singled home Roof for a 13-1 lead. The scoring for the night would conclude when Bosch slammed his third hit of the game, an opposite field two-run home run, his third, for a 15-1 SeaWolves lead.

Marte (2-2) picked up his second win of the season going seven strong innings, allowing a run on five hits with a walk and five strikeouts. The seven innings ties a season-best for Marte.

The season-high 15 runs came on a season-high 15 hits as Erie improved to 8-2 against the Curve.
