ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves look to make it two straight wins as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the second game of a three-game series at Blair County Ballpark. Erie opened the series with a 5-2 win on Friday night to improve to 7-2 against the Curve. Erie had dropped its last two against the Curve prior to last night. The Howlers are now 3-2 at BCB. With last night's win, the SeaWolves remain in third place in the Southern Division, 4.5 games behind first place Akron and a half game behind second place Reading. A win in each of the final two games of the series will give the 'Wolves their third series win of the season. Erie is 1-0-1 in its previous two series against the Curve. This is the second of three trips for the 'Wolves into Altoona. Erie returns to BCB in early July for its final road series against the Curve. Altoona heads to "The Uht" for three more series...Righty Luis Marte makes his fourth start of the season and his second against Altoona. He is 0-1 against the Curve. In his lone start against the Curve on April 18, Marte went five innings, surrendering a season-high six runs, four earned, on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts. He picked up a win in his last start against Harrisburg on April 25 going a season-high seven innings, allowing a run on six hits with a walk and a season-high seven strikeouts...Lefty Tony Watson takes the mound for the Curve, making his fifth start and second against Erie. He took a no-decision in his last start against Akron giving up four unearned runs on five hits in four innings of work. He took a no-decision in his first start against Erie on Opening Day going 3.2 innings, allowing five runs on three hits with four walks and two K's.

- Erie leads the season series over Altoona 7-2. The 'Wolves and Curve meet 25 times in 2009. The only opponent Erie will see more than Altoona is Akron (27 games).
