Erie SeaWolves News Release

Harrisburg (1-2) salvaged the series finale with a 5-1 win over Erie (2-1) on Sunday.

The SeaWolves were first onto the scoreboard in the second inning. Jake Holton led off with a single and advanced to third on Corey Joyce's single. Eliezer Alfonzo scored Holton on a sacrifice fly, giving Erie a 1-0 lead.

Jackson Jobe made his season debut for Erie. He tied a career-high with three walks over 2.1 innings. Jobe stranded the bases full after two singles and a walk in the second but could not escape a threat in the third.

Dylan Crews began the frame by reaching on Joyce's error on a dropped pop-up. After a single and a walk loaded the bases, Jobe departed with one out. RJ Petit entered and issued a game-tying bases-loaded walk. With two out, Cortland Lawson drove home three with a double, his first Double-A hit. Harrisburg led 4-1.

They tacked on a run in the eighth when Crews scored J.T. Arruda, who had reached on an error, with a single. All five runs against the Erie pitching staff were unearned.

Daison Acosta (1-0) is the winning pitcher. Jobe (0-1) took the loss.

Erie opens the home schedule at UPMC Park on Tuesday against Binghamton at 6:05 p.m. Wilkel Hernandez pitches against Blade Tidwell.
