
Sea Wolves Get Rosehill, Elliott, Smolenak, And Angel

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves, ECHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning, announced on Wednesday that Jay Rosehill, Brandon Elliott, Radek Smolenak, and Brett Angel have been assigned to the team from the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Rosehill, 6-4 and 215 pounds, appeared in three games for the Admirals going scoreless with 11 penalty minutes. The native of Olds, Alberta has appeared in 112 career AHL games, scoring one goal and seven assists.
Smolenak, 6-3 and 180 pounds, appeared in two games for the Admirals going scoreless with two penalty minutes. A native of Prague, Smolenak was selected in the 3rd round (73rd overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, and scored 35 points (15g, 20a) in 43 games with Johnstown of the ECHL last season.
Angel, 6-6 and 229 pounds, and Elliott, 6-4 and 225 pounds, had not appeared in a game with Norfolk. Selected in the third round (72nd overall) by the Nashville Predators in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Angel has appeared in six ECHL games with Toledo, earning 17 penalty minutes. A native of Orangeville, Ontario, Elliott was picked in the fifth round (158th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, and spilt the 2006-07 season between Johnstown, where he scored 11 goals and six assists in 48 games, and earned one assist in 10 games with Springfield.
The Sea Wolves open the 2007-08 season this Friday and Saturday when they visit the Florida Everblades! Friday's game will be broadcast on 1490-AM WXBD, and Saturday's game can be heard on 1640-AM WTNI. On Saturday, October 27th the Sea Wolves will celebrate their return to home ice and their 10th season in pursuit of the ECHL's Kelly Cup when they face the Reading Royals at 7:05 P.M.
