
Inferno set final roster

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Oct. 17, 2007)- The Columbia Inferno have finalized their 2007-08 ECHL roster, head coach and director of hockey operations Troy Mann announced today.
The 21-man roster comprises seven defensemen, four centers, four left wings, two right wings and two goaltenders. Returning from last season's Inferno squad are captain Brad Ralph, forwards Anthony Battaglia, Mac Faulkner, Owen Fussey, Steve McJannet and Jeff Miles, defensemen Ren Fauci, Tyson Marsh and Bryan Rodney, and goaltender and 2006-07 Team MVP Todd Ford. A full roster is attached.
The team has released five players from their contracts prior to the end of training camp. Forwards Matt Caranci and Kelly Thomson were released Monday, Oct. 15, while forwards Chris Myers and Sean Offers and defenseman Tim Songin were released Wednesday, Oct. 17.
The Inferno begin the season with seven players on loan from the Toronto Marlies, including forwards Joe Cooper and Peter Tsimikalis, defensemen Phil Oreskovic, Todd Perry and Patrick Wellar, and goalies Ford and Jeff Jakaitis.
The Inferno also have five newcomers to the organization this season, including forwards Marc Cavosie, Tyler Doig, Jeremy Hall and Daniel Sparre and defenseman Julien Brouillette.
Brouillette has been placed on the three-day injured reserve list, while McJannet is on the seven-day IR.
