Salmon Kings Finalize Roster

Victoria Salmon Kings News Release


Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the organization has released their regular season roster after the final decisions were made.

The following player was traded:

Phil Cole Defense

Cole was traded to the Stockton Thunder for future and financial considerations.

The following player was released:

Bryan Bridges Goaltender

The Salmon Kings roster is now set at 21 players (12 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goalies).

"Making our final cuts was very difficult," Dan Belisle Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager said. "Both Bryan and Phil have been a large part of our previous success, but in the best interest of the team we knew we had to make these moves. We would like to thank both Bryan and Phil, and also wish both players success in their future as well as in their hockey careers."

The team leaves tomorrow to kick off their fourth season in the ECHL in Idaho on Oct 19, 2007, and will host the Las Vegas Wranglers for the Home Opener Series on Oct 26 and 27. Individual game tickets are now on sale! Call 220-7889.
