NEWS AND NOTES

NO ROAD WOES HERE:The Portland Sea Dogs are 3-1 on their six-game roadtrip, which continues tonight against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) at Arm & Hammer Park...Portland has won 10 of their last 15 games and will clinch a winning May with a win tonight...Since May 15th, the 'Dogs have won 3 games when trailing 10-4 (May 15th at New Britain), 7-2 (May 19th vs. Altoona) and 8-3 last night...New Jersey native Mike Augliera makes his 10th start of the season and the 75th of his professional career.

LUCKY 7: Portland put together their biggest inning of the season, scoring seven runs in the 7th inning to rally back and beat the Trenton Thunder 12-10 in the series opener...Portland scored 4 of 7 runs with two outs in the seventh, scoring all 7 runs off losing pitcher Chris Smith (1-1)...Oscar Tejeda tied the game at nine with a run-scoring single and Keury De La Cruz (4-for-6, 4 RBI) provided the game-winning hit, nailing a two-run double, Luis Martinez capped off the inning with a run-scoring double...Trenton scored a run in the eighth, but Pat Light pitched the final 1.1 innings to earn his third save of the season.
