Harrisburg Senators News Release

In a game that mirrored Friday's affair, the Harrisburg Senators ended up on the wrong end of the final score in a 3-2 loss to the Bowie Baysox. Harrisburg, which came back to win 3-2 on Friday, fell to 21-27 with Saturday's loss.

On Friday, Bowie took an early 2-0 lead, but on Saturday it was Harrisburg gaining a two-run advantage through three innings. Shawn Pleffner knocked in his 18th run of the season with an RBI single. Tony Renda followed later in the third inning with an RBI single of his own. Renda was the lone Senator with multiple hits as he also clubbed his ninth double of the season. Playing with the Senators again on a major league rehab, Anthony Rendon was 0-for-3 with a walk.

For most of Saturday evening, Austin Voth was fantastic. At one point, the right-hander retired 14 straight hitters between the first and fifth innings. However, in the sixth, Voth was tagged for three runs. Two came on a double by Bowie's Mike Yastrzemski and one from a sacrifice fly off the bat of Orioles' rehabbing catcher, Matt Wieters. Voth battled through the sixth, and also pitched a scoreless seventh to record his longest outing of the season. Voth allowed six hits in his seven innings and also set a new season-high for strikeouts with eight. Abel De Los Santos pitched a scoreless eighth inning to keep Harrisburg within a run.

Harrisburg will try to secure a series victory Sunday as Joe Ross takes the mound. The game will begin at 2:05 p.m. The pregame show will start at 1:50 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am, iHeart Radio, and on Tune In.
