STUCK IN THE MIDDLE IN HARTFORD: The Portland Sea Dogs and Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) play the middle game of their three-game series on Wednesday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park...Portland has dropped 12 of 13 this month away from Maine but went 8-8 at Hadlock Field in May...Righty Denyi Reyes seconds his second consecutive win, making his 10th start of the season...The two teams conclude the series on Thursday morning with a 10:35 a.m. first pitch.

GOATS TAKE THE OPENER: 2B Josh Tobias hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning, but Portland dropped the opener, 4-2 to the Yard Goats on Tuesday night...RHP Rico Garcia (6-1) earned his third win against the Sea Dogs, working five innings on two runs and seven strikeouts...The Yard Goats scored three runs off losing pitcher Darwinzon Hernandez (1-4) in the third inning...Hartford fanned 17 batters, a season-high for the 'Dogs' offense.
