The Sea Dogs are 7-1 on their 9-game homestand which ends tonight against the Binghamton Mets at Hadlock Field...Portland is 15 games over .500 for the first time since 2006.

NUMBER NINE TONIGHT : The Sea Dogs are 7-1 on their nine-game homestand which ends tonight against the Binghamton Mets...Portland swept their second doubleheader of the season on Wednesday night and improved to 15 games over .500 for the first time since July 16, 2006 (54-39) - the 'Dogs best record that season was 19 games over .500...LHP Mickey Pena makes his first career start against the Binghamton Mets...RHP Rainy Lara suffered his lone loss to Portland on May 4th at NYSEG Stadium.

COUCH CG AND A NICE RALLY : RHP Keith Couch (6-0) hurled his fifth career complete-game in the opener, as the Sea Dogs grabbed a 5-1 win...3B Stefan Welch provided the game-winning hit with a first inning three-run homer...1B Travis Shaw hit a solo-shot (#9) to lead-off the third...Couch yielded nine hits and got the help of three double plays...In game two, the 'Dogs scored the final six runs, including a five-run fifth to beat the Mets 6-5...With two outs, C Mike Brenly cut the lead to 5-4 with a RBI single...LF Peter Hissey followed with a two-run single to right...LHP Robby Scott earned his sixth win of the season.
