SATURDAY IN THE PAKR : The Portland Sea Dogs and Akron RubberDucks (Indians affiliate) continue their three-game series on Saturday night at Hadlock Field...Portland is 1-3 on their current homestand, and 3-4 during a 15-game strech against the Western Division...Right-hander Mike Shawaryn returns to the hill tonight, making his 11th start of the season...Following the homestand, the 'Dogs travel to Richmond and Bowie next week.
BIG THIRD FOR AKRON : Akron scored five times in the third inning, sending 10 men to the plate, defeating the Sea Dogs, 8-2 in the series opener...Chad De La Guerra knocked in both runs for the 'Dogs with a groundout and fielder's choice...Akron DH Connor Marabell went 2-for-5 with 3 RBI and Bobby Bradley went 2-for-4 with a solo homer...RHP Dominic DeMasi worked four innings of relief to earn his fifth win of the season.
