The Sea Dogs and Reading Fightin Phils wrap up their four-game series on Sunday afternoon at First Energy Stadium...Portland is looking for their first ever four-game sweep in Reading.

NEWS AND NOTES

IT'S NEVER HAPPENED : The Sea Dogs have never swept a four-game series in Reading, Pa., but that could change with a win this afternoon at First Energy Stadium...Portland's lone sweep in Reading came last year in a three-game series (April 30-May 2)...With last night's win, the 'Dogs are 26 games over .500 for the first time since 1995...RHP Mike McCarthy, who beat the Reading Fightin Phils on April 28th at Hadlock Field, makes his 16th appearance (9th start) of the season.

WAY BACK AND GONE : Portland hit a season-high four homers to beat the Reading Fightin Phils, 4-3 on Saturday night...SS Deven Marrero snapped a 3-3 tie with a lead-off homer off losing pitcher RHP Seth Rosin (1-2) in the ninth inning...DH David Chester, 2B Sean Coyle and CF Derrik Gibson also homered...RHP Aaron Kurcz (2-1) earned the win in relief, firing two innings of scoreless ball on one hit and two strikeouts...Reading tied the game with three runs in the sixth inning off RHP Mike Augliera (ND, 7 IP, 6 H, 3 R, BB, 3 SO)...Reading's LHP Adam Loewen pitched 7.2 innings, allowing three homers on four hits.
