NEWS AND NOTES

HANGING ZEROES: The Portland Sea Dogs have a shutout win in four of their last five games, including three this homestand...Tonight, the 'Dogs and Senators play the middle game of their three-game series at Hadlock Field...Portland's staff has allowed just three earned runs over 36.0 IP during the homestand (0.75 ERA)...Right-hander Mike Shawaryn is 2-1, 3.38 ERA (14 ER.37.1 IP) in six starts in Maine, makes his first career start against Harrisburg.

ALL PORTLAND IN THE OPENER: Jantzen Witte went 3-for-4, HR, 4 RBI and a double, leading the Sea Dogs to a 6-0 win over the Senators in the series opener...Dedgar Jimenez (6-6) worked 5.2 scoreless on five hits, three walks, and seven strikeouts the win...Josh Ockimey and Austin Rei each had RBI singles, Danny Mars went 1-for-2 with three runs scored...Matt Gorst earned the hold with 1.1 innings on one hit and one strikeout...Josh Taylor and Jordan Weems each worked scoreless frames.
