The Sea Dogs and Binghamton Mets, the top two teams in the Eastern League, open up a three-game series on Monday night at Hadlock Field...Portland holds a 3.5 game lead over Binghamton for the top spot in the Eastern Division.

WHAT A SERIES : The Portland Sea Dogs and Binghamton Mets, the top two teams in the Eastern League, open up a three-game series on Monday night at Hadlock Field...Portland will have former Sea Dog Ryan Lavarnway on a Major League Rehab Assignment from the Boston Red Sox - tonight will be his 100th game with the Sea Dogs...Portland was swept by the B-Mets in a four-game set at NYSEG Stadium on July 7-10, but won five straight games in a six-game series against Binghamton at Hadlock Field on May 19-22.

X-MAS MIRACLE : The New Hampshire Fisher Cats celebrated their annual Christmas in July, with a 3-2 walk-off win over the Sea Dogs on Sunday afternoon...New Hampshire scored two runs in the ninth with two outs on four consecutive baserunners...Pinch-hitters Andy Fermin and Matt Newman walked...Dalton Pompey tied the game with a run-scoring single to right and Jon Berti delivered the game-winner, nailing an RBI single to left...Aaron Kurcz took the loss, giving up both runs...Dustin Antolin pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the win...David Chester and Shannon Wilkerson had RBIs in the loss.
