The Sea Dogs continue their four-game series with the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Friday night at Hadlock Field...Portland needs 12 wins at Hadlock to establish the best record at home in Franchise History.

NEWS AND NOTES

THE WEEKEND IS HERE : The Sea Dogs are 3-2 during their eight-game homestand, which continues tonight against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) at Hadlock Field...Portland has scored and given up nine runs during the homestand...RHP Wilfredo Boscan makes his third straight start for Portland - he is 0-2, 4.15 ERA (8 ER/17.1 IP) as a starter...Portland needs one win to take the season series from the Trenton Thunder...With a win tonight, the 'Dogs improve to 30 games over .500 for the fourth time this season.

RALLY FELL SHORT : Portland rallied for a run in the ninth inning a two-out, run-scoring double by Shannon Wilkerson, but Derrik Gibson popped to second base to end the game, giving the Thunder a 2-1 win in the series opener...RHP Jaron Long (4-0) tossed 6.2 scoreless on five hits, one walk and eight strikeouts to earn the win...RHP Justin Haley (0-1) yielded one run on six hits over 6 IP in his Double-A debut, but suffered the loss...Trenton received a sacrifice fly by C Francisco Arcia in the third and a run-scoring single from 2B Casey Stevenson in the ninth.
