The Sea Dogs snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday. Tonight, the 'Dogs open up a seven-game roadtrip in New Britain against the Rock Cats (Twins affiliate).

ON THE ROAD...FOR THE FIRST TIME : Portland begins their first roadtrip of the season, opening up a four-game series against the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins affiliate) at New Britain Stadium...The Sea Dogs salvaged the final game of the homestand on Wednesday night against the Reading Fightin Phils...New Britain returns home after a three-game sweep of the Harrisburg Senators in the second-part of their trip...The two teams play a four-game series at Hadlock Field on April 18-21.
BATTERY WAS FULLY CHARGED : LHP Drake Britton (1-1) fired six strong innings on four hits and one run, leading the Sea Dogs to a 5-2 win over the Reading Phillies...Catcher Christian Vazquez connected on a three-run homer in sixth and finished 2-for-3 (HR, 3 RBI, 2B)...Britton threw 49 of 66 pitches for strikes, walked one, fanned six and earned the team's first quality start of the season...Brock Huntzinger worked a scoreless ninth to secure his second save of the season...Portland took an early 2-1 lead on Derrik Gibson's run-scoring groundout and Ronald Bermudez's RBI double.
