CAN THEY END THE STREAK?The Sea Dogs open up a four-game series against the New Britain Rock Cats (Rockies affiliate) on Thursday night at New Britain Stadium...The Rock Cats have won 12 straight games and 23 of their last 25...Portland finished 1-5 on their recent homestand and have lost 10 of their last 13 games at Hadlock Field...New Britain swept a three-game series at Hadlock Field last week - their first sweep in Maine since a three-gamer back in 2001.

TOUGH ENDING: Trenton scored three times in the ninth inning and took the rubber game of a three-game set from Portland, 9-8 on Wednesday morning...The Sea Dogs loaded the bases with nobody out in their half of the ninth against Mark Montgomery, but failed to score...Oscar Tejeda went 4-for-6, 4 RBI and tied a franchise record with 3 doubles...Gary Sanchez tied the game in the ninth inning with a two-run homer and Dan Fiorito knocked in the game-winner with a double...Madison Younginer took the loss, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs over 2 IP...Mike Miller went 3-for-6 and Mike Blanke reached four times (1B, 3 BB).
