Sea Dogs Announce Itinerary for Second Week of Training Camp

SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Director of Hockey Operations Mike Kelly announced today the itinerary for Week Two of the team's Season V Training Camp.

From Tuesday, August 25 - Friday, August 28, one group of Sea Dogs players will practice every morning from 11:00am - 12:15pm, with another squad skating from 12:30-1:45pm at Harbour Station. All practices are open to the public.

The Sea Dogs (2-0) will then host the Screaming Eagles (0-1) in QMJHL pre-season action on Saturday, August 29 at 7:00pm. Tickets to this match are available by calling the Harbour Station Box Office at (506) 657-1234.

Saint John also announced today that 5'11", 168 lb. forward Philip Richer has been traded to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in a deal completed late last night. The Sea Dogs receive an eighth round pick at the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft in exchange for the 18-year old winger's services.

The Mooseheads have also dealt a seventh round 2010 pick to Saint John, completing an earlier transaction which saw veteran centre Matthew Stoddard's rights sent to Halifax. Defenseman Vincent Fournier, meanwhile, has been released from the Sea Dogs' training camp roster effective immediately.
