Scrappers "walk-off" with win

The Scrappers scored first on Tuesday night in the second, plating two runs on a throwing error and a RBI single by Robbie Alcombrack. Only to see the Muckdogs came back and scored there first run in the top of the third, on a solo home run from Edwin Gomez making the score 2-1 Scrappers going to the bottom of the third.

In the bottom of the third the Scrappers added on three more runs keyed by RBI singles from Tim Fedroff and Brock Simpson and after three in was 5-1 Scrappers.

In the fourth Mahoning Valley added another run on a RBI sacrifice fly to left field and the Scrappers lead was now 6-1 Scrappers. Then in the fifth the Muckdogs added there second run on a double and two wild pitches and after five the Scrappers lead was now 6-2.

In the sixth Lonnie Chisenhall hit his team leading fifth home run of the season stretching the Scrappers lead to 7-2. In the seventh the Muckdogs added another run when Gomez tripled and then scored on Jose Garcia's sacrifice flay to left field making it 7-3 Scrappers going to the eighth. In the eighth both teams went scoreless and we headed to the ninth.

In the ninth the Muckdogs collected four runs off of two different Scrapper relievers and the game was tied 7-7 going to the bottom of the ninth.

In the bottom of the ninth the Scrappers loaded the bases on walks and Michael Valadez hit a sacrifice fly RBI to leaf and Fredroff tagged and scored the winning run 8-7 Scrappers.
