NEW YORK, April 1, 2015 - The NBA Development League announced today that Sioux Falls Skyforce forward Scotty Hopson was named Player of the Month for the month of March. Hopson is the first Skyforce player to earn Player of the Month honors since Demetris Nichols was named Player of the Month for February during the 2012-13 season.
Hopson averaged 22.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists while helping lead the Skyforce to a 9-2 record in March. He shot 58.4% from the field during March, his best field goal shooting percentage in any month this season. During the month, Hopson led the team in scoring on five different occasions.
On the season, Hopson is averaging 19.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 40 games (32 starts) for the Skyforce.
Hopson and the Skyforce (28-19) will be in action tonight at 6:00 p.m. when they visit the Grand Rapids Drive (22-25). With a win, the Skyforce will clinch the Central Division title.
