INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Goaltender Nick Schneider has been recalled to the Stockton Heat, announced Tuesday by the Mavericks' AHL affiliate.

The 21-year-old netminder played between the pipes in the first four games of the season for Kansas City, owning a 2-1-1-0 record with a 2.72 Goals Against Average and .907 Save Percentage in his brief tenure thus far in the ECHL.

The Leduc, Alberta native completed his junior career last season, playing in 61 games for the Calgary Hitmen and in one contest with the Heat toward the end of the season. He has played in 10 total AHL games thus far in his career.

The Mavericks return to action this weekend as they play host to the Wichita Thunder on Friday and Utah Grizzlies Saturday. Tickets for the games are still on sale.

The latter contest features a postgame Fifth Line Club auction where fans can bid on players to gain exclusive access to the team and special events. The program, formerly known as Adopt-A-Mav, runs for the full season. More information on the program is available via the team's website.
