
Kale Kessy Returns to Steelheads from Manitoba

BOISE, Idaho - Forward Kale Kessy has returned to the Idaho Steelheads after being released from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO) with the Manitoba Moose (AHL), Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Neil Graham announced on Tuesday.
Kessy, 25, played one game with Manitoba after being loaned to the organization prior to the 2018-19 season. The Shaunavon, Sask., product signed an ECHL contract with the Steelheads on September 18 following 52 games with the Tulsa Oilers in 2017-18, during which he tallied 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points with 239 penalty minutes and a -4 rating and finished second in the ECHL in penalty minutes. He also appeared in 16 AHL games between Manitoba and the Cleveland Monsters, recording one goal and three assists for four points with 61 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-3, 212-pound forward owns 29 points (13 goals, 16 assists) and 305 penalty minutes through 160 career AHL games since his professional debut with the Oklahoma City Barons in 2013-14. Now in his sixth professional season, Kessy has played 247 professional games, totaling 38 goals and 46 assists for 84 points with 616 penalty minutes including 55 pointes (25 goals, 30 assists) and 311 penalty minutes through 87 ECHL games.
Kessy will be available for tonight's game against the Indy Fuel and will wear #24. Puck drop is set for 5:05 p.m. MT from Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
The Steelheads return to CenturyLink Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:10 p.m. against the Tulsa Oilers.
