Traverse City Beach Bums News Release
LOVES PARK, IL For the fifth time this season, Mother Nature has kept the Traverse City Beach Bums off the field. Saturday's game at the Rockford Aviators has been postponed due to rain. The team's will play a pair of seven-inning games on Sunday starting at 4:05pm.
Sunday's doubleheader will be the fourth one this season for the Beach Bums. Couple that with team's next game day on Wednesday, which is a scheduled doubleheader at Florence, 10 of the Beach Bums' first 16 games will have been part of twinbills.
Since opening night May 15th, which was a rainout, the Beach Bums have been active just nine days.
The Beach Bums' record stands at 5-7, fourth place in the Frontier League's East Division.
All games are broadcast live on 98.1 The Bear.
The Wuerfel Park offices are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The Beach Bums will play 51 games at Wuerfel Park in 2015. In addition, there is a Farmers & Flea Market Saturdays June 13th-October 10th. Along with live concerts following most Saturday home games. Season ticket packages are still available!
