May 19, 2018 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Charleston Dirty Birds News Release

CHARLESTON, WV - Due to inclement weather in the Charleston area, tonight's West Virginia Power game against the Lexington Legends has been suspended in the top of the second inning, with the Power leading 2-0. The game will resume tomorrow at 12:05 p.m., with Sunday's regularly scheduled game set to follow the conclusion of this contest. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow.

West Virginia took the lead in the bottom of the first on a two-run home run from Deon Stafford, who clubbed his fourth home run of the season to dead center field to give the Power their 2-0 edge. Meanwhile, West Virginia starter Gavin Wallace set down Lexington 1-2-3 in the first, but walked the first batter he faced in the second inning, Brewer Hicklen, before heavy rain forced the suspension of Saturday's play.

Tonight's game will resume at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, with a runner on first base and nobody out in the top of the second inning, and the Power leading 2-0. Sunday's regularly scheduled game will take place following the conclusion of game one. Sunday's normally scheduled game will be a seven-inning affair, while tonight's game will still take a full nine innings to complete.

Pregame coverage begins at 11:45 a.m. on The Jock 1300 and 1340 AM, as well as online at wvpower.com, the TuneIn Radio App and the MiLB First Pitch App. For tickets and more information, call the Power at 304-344-2287 or visit wvpower.com.
