(New Britain, CT)- Home runs by RF Bronson Sardinha and 1B Shelley Duncan led a five-run 5th Inning as the Thunder beat New Britain, 9-2, in Eastern League play. Trenton (25-20) has won eight of their last nine games.
The Thunder, who have an Eastern League best 15-7 record in May, jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 1st Inning as LF Kevin Thompson walked, moved to 2nd base of a Justin Olson wild pitch and to 3rd Base on a steal. He scored on a sacrifice fly by CF Melky Cabrera.
