New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT â The New Britain Rock Cats announced two roster moves this afternoon â each involving a pitcher - and both are effective immediately.
RHP Kevin Cameron, a 25-year-old relief specialist from Joliet, IL, has been restored to New Britain's active roster following nearly a month on the Disabled List. A former Georgia Tech University star, Cameron was 0-0 with 2 Saves and a 2.92 ERA over 9 relief appearances prior to going on the DL with a strained bicep on April 28, 2005.
LHP Jan Granado was placed on the DL after yesterday's game in Erie, PA. The 22-year-old southpaw experienced some mild shoulder discomfort, which should be remedied by rest. The Barcelona, VZ native has thus far made 6 appearances in New Britain in 2005, compiling a 2-1 record and 8.00 ERA over 9.0 innings of work.
