
Santos Homers as Gades Fall to Winston-Salem

The Winston-Salem Dash collected 12 hits in an 11-4 win over the Hudson Valley Renegades on Thursday night in North Carolina.
The Dash built up an early lead against starting pitcher Matt Sauer (1-2). Luis Santos hit a three-run homer in the fifth to tie the score at three but the Dash ran away from there, scoring eight times between the fifth and seventh innings.
Andres Chaparro had two hits to lead Hudson Valley (61-37). The Gades picked up one more run in the eighth as a Jake Sanford ground out scored Anthony Volpe to produce the last run of the night.
The Dash (37-61) has won two of the first three games in the six-game series. The teams meet again tomorrow at Truist Stadium.
