March 26, 2022 - NBA G League (G League) - Iowa Wolves News Release
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors rallied for a 116-112 overtime win over the Iowa Wolves on Friday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
Santa Cruz (12-17) trailed by 10 with just over four minutes left in regulation but cut the deficit to two points with Jerome Robinson's three-pointer with 55 seconds. Robinson's layup with 24.5 seconds on the clock tied the game at 107. Iowa (13-16) still had a chance to win the game in regulation on its final possession, but Isaiah Briscoe missed a layup, and the clock ran out before the Warriors got off their own attempt as the game went to overtime.
McKinley Wright IV scored the first points in overtime with a reverse layup, but Santa Cruz's Kaleb Ledoux made a three, the Warriors forced a shot clock violation and Wright's three-pointer was missed. The Wolves were forced to foul as Santa Cruz made four free throws sandwiched around a three by Wright.
Chris Silva had 26 points and a season-high 17 rebounds for Iowa. Melvin Frazier Jr. and Wright IV each scored 21 points. Frazier Jr. added 12 rebounds. Briscoe, who missed several weeks due to injury, had 12 points off the bench in his return.
Robinson scored 26 points and had nine rebounds for Santa Cruz. LJ Figueroa finished with 24 points and Elijah Pemberton added 23 points.
