The final home series of the 2021-22 regular season is upon us, as the Sioux Falls Skyforce hosts the Oklahoma City Blue on Saturday and Sunday. The team finishes the year on the road, with the first trip to face the South Bay Lakers since Nov. 14, 2019.

Sioux Falls comes into the contest fresh off a split with the Birmingham Squadron, with the latter being a 136-95 defeat. However, the Skyforce took the first regular season series against the Squadron 2-1 this year.

In their most recent game on Wednesday, the Blue fell to the Stockton Kings 121-118. Five Blue players scored in double figures, as Rob Edwards posted 27 points on 9-16 FGA and seven rebounds was the leading scorer. Jahml'us Ramsey led off the bench with 24 points on 8-14 FGA (5-9 3PA) and seven rebounds.

In the realm of the Western Conference playoffs, both the Skyforce and Blue are trending in the same direction and are on the outside looking in. Sioux Falls has lost five of the last seven games, while the Blue has lost six of their last eight games.

Sioux Falls sits 2.5 games out of the final playoff spot with four games left, while Oklahoma City is 1.5 games out with four games remaining, as well. It looks as if both teams will need to win out their remaining games and receive help from other teams to sneak into the playoffs.

Former Skyforce forward Scotty Hopson makes his return to the Sanford Pentagon with OKC. Hopson holds the Skyforce franchise record for most points scored in a game with 52.
