Santa Cruz Finishes NBA G League Showcase Cup with Win over Lakeland, 96-83

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Santa Cruz Warriors (6-8) beat the Lakeland Magic (5-8) Tuesday night at the NBA G League Winter Showcase Cup located in Las Vegas, NV.
Santa Cruz was aggressive in the paint in the first quarter (16 points) and had 11 points from the bench to take a one-point lead into the second, 27-26. Warriors Guard Kalob Ledoux was four-for-nine behind the arc in the first half and forced a steal that he capitalized on with a dunk as time expired to go into halftime tied, 42-42.
The Magic scored the first basket of the second half before the Warriors came back and gained the lead entering the fourth, 70-66. Lakeland took back the lead in the fourth, but the Warriors used a 12-0 run to enter the final three minutes of play leading, 86-78. Santa Cruz extended their lead and earned the 96-83 win.
Ledoux finished the nights with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Quinndary Weatherspoon led the Warriors with 18 points. Center Jordan Bell earned his fourth double-double (13 points, 18 rebounds). Guard Eddie Stansberry contributed 15 of the Warriors 38 bench points.
The Magic were led by Samir Doughty with 23 points (4-8 3FG).
