
Sandusky Sent to Trappers

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators announced today catcher Scott Sandusky has been sent to the Expos' triple-A team in Edmonton. Scott has been with the Senators since he was sent here mid-way through the 2000 season.
This season, Sandusky had a .241 average with 1 homer and 11 RBI in 26 games with the Senators.
Replacing Sandusky on the Senators roster will be minor league veteran Ryan Balfe, Balfe is scheduled to join the team from Brevard County. Balfe was batting .291, 32-110 with the Manatees with 4 home runs and 27 RBI.
Balfe was originally selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 8th round of the 1994 draft. The 27-year-old, switch-hitter was signed by the Expos as a free agent in February. He has played several positions, including catcher in his career.
