San Jose Sharks Recall Center Tom Cavanagh

San Jose - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled center Tom Cavanagh from the Worcester Sharks, San Jose's development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Cavanagh is currently third on Worcester in scoring with 50 points (17 goals, 33 assists) in 72 games.

He spent four collegiate seasons with Harvard University from 2001-2005.

The six-foot, 200-pound forward native of Warwick, Rhode Island, was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (182nd overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

The San Jose Sharks travel to the Staples Center in Los Angeles to battle the Kings on Thursday, April 03 at 10:30pm ET.

The Worcester Sharks return to the DCU Center on Friday for a 7:05 pm affair with the Portland Pirates. After a Saturday road tilt in Manchester, Worcester returns home on Sunday for BALD IS BEAUTIFUL vs. the Springfield Falcons at 4:05pm on Truck Day as fans have the opportunity to explore trucks on the plaza.
