Canucks Recall Hansen From Moose

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled forward Jannik Hansen from the Moose.

Hansen, 22, has played five games with the Canucks this season, including appearing in his first regular season NHL game Nov. 1/07 vs. Nashville. In 45 games with the Moose this season, the Harlev, Denmark native has amassed 18 goals and 21 assists for 39 points and 20 penalty minutes, good for fifth on the Moose leaderboard. He recently completed a career high eight-game point streak in which he earned five goals and seven assists for 12 points. Last season, Hansen scored 12 goals and 34 points in 72 games in his rookie year with the Moose. In six Calder Cup playoff games, Hansen collected two penalty minutes. He also played in 10 games with the Canucks during the Stanley Cup playoffs where he collected an assist.

Hansen was originally drafted by Vancouver in the ninth round, 287th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
