Thursday, Dec. 17 vs. Manitoba Moose MTS Centre 7:00 p.m. (CT)
Thursday's contest will wrap up the weekday back-to-back for the Silver and Black. The Rampage have been 7-2-3-0 on the road this season, and are currently riding a 2-0-1-0 road streak. They wont see Manitoba again until March 4, 2016 when the Moose visit the Alamo City for the first time in five years.
Sunday, Dec. 20 vs. Iowa Wild Wells Fargo Arena, 3:00 p.m. (CT)
The Rampage have two days off before they begin a back-to-back with the Iowa Wild on Sunday and Monday. San Antonio posted a 7-1-0-0 record against the Wild last season and have registered a 4-2-0-1 road record in the past two seasons. The Wild will play two games against the Charlotte Checkers earlier in the week before they host the Silver and Black in Wells Fargo Arena.
SPECIAL TEAMS: San Antonio's special teams have been an important piece of the Silver and Black's offense. The Rampage rank fourth in road power play record (20.9%) and fifth in overall power play record (21.1%). The Rampage have scored nine goals on 43 opportunities with the man advantage on the road this season.
OFFENSIVE PROWESS: Mikko Rantanen, the youngest player to ever wear the Rampage sweater, leads the team in scoring despite missing six games this season. The rookie has had a clear impact for the Silver and Black averaging 1.22 points per game and registering a +13 plus/ minus rating. He ranks third amongst rookies in points (22) despite playing six and five less games than Dominik Simon (25) and Devin Shore (26). The Finland native also ranks third amongst rookies in assists (14) behind Brandon Montour (17) and Matt Lorito (17).
ICE CHIPS: Chris Bigras - Rampage Defenseman
Chris Bigras, 20, has been a pivotal piece for the Silver and Black this season. The rookie defenseman has bagged three goals and nine assist in his first professional season. Through his first 25 games this season, Bigras' 12 points are the most by a Rampage rookie de- fenseman since David Schlemko tallied 13 points in his first 25 games of the 2008-09 season. The Ontario native has spent majority of the season paired with veteran Mat Clark, where they have both registered a 0 plus/minus rating. Bigras was drafted 32nd overall in the second round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Avalanche.
