San Antonio Rampage News Release

THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, Feb. 15 at Milwaukee Admirals

BMO Harris Bradley Center, 7 p.m.

The Rampage kick off a three-in-three weekend with their only trip of the season to the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Friday night. San Antonio secured a 1-0 victory in the first meeting of the teams at AT&T Center on Oct. 20, as rookie Jared Gomes tallied the game-winner on his birthday. Like the Rampage, Milwaukee has been a much better team at home this season (12-6-2-2), opposed to 8-13-1-1 on the road.

Saturday, Feb. 16 at Peoria Rivermen

Carver Arena, 7:35 p.m.

San Antonio earned two wins with a combined score of 8-2 against the Rivermen when they made a trip to AT&T Center for a pair of games in early January. Jon Rheault led the Rampage with three goals and an assist in the two games, while goaltender Jacob Markstrom stopped 57- of-59 shots and earned a shutout in the process. The Rivermen have been reeling of late, dropping four of their last five games.

Sunday, Feb. 17 at Chicago Wolves

Allstate Arena, 3 p.m.

The Rampage dropped their first of four meetings this season to the Wolves, 6-5, on Oct. 27. However, San Antonio scored a season-high four power-play goals in the game. The Wolves are winners of four of their last six and own an impressive 20-3-0-0 record when leading after two periods, but are winless when trailing after 40 minutes (0-9-2-10).

SHOTS FROM THE POINT

ROAD TRIPPING: The Rampage kick off the second leg of their nine-game, 21-day Ro- deo Road Trip with a three-in-three weekend starting on Friday night. So far, San Antonio owns a 2-1-0-0 record on the trip after splitting with Charlotte last weekend.

HUGE GAMES: San Antonio will have a golden opportunity to make up ground in the Western Conference standings this weekend, as all three teams they will face are right above them in the standings. San Antonio, Milwaukee and Peoria are all tied for 11th place in the conference with 46 points, while Chicago is in 10th place with 51 points.

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: The Rampage have surrendered two or fewer goals in 16 of their last 21 games dating back to Dec. 16, including allowing two or fewer in six of their last seven games.

PENALTY KILL: The Rampage have gone 30-for-32 on the penalty kill stretching back to Jan. 18 against Oklahoma City. San Antonio currently owns the fourth-best penalty kill in the league (183-for-213, 85.9%) and the team hasn't surrendered power-play goals in back -to-back games since Dec. 29-30.

NASH BROTHERS: Defenseman Brendon Nash faced his brother, Riley, for the first time in their careers last weekend in San Antonio's trip to Charlotte. Both brothers recorded an assist in the two-game series.

WELCOME BACK: Forward Scott Timmins returned to the Rampage lineup on Saturday after missing seven games with an injury and tallied a goal and an assist on the weekend.

ICE CHIPS: Jonathan Hazen - Forward

Rampage rookie Jonathan Hazen is riding a career-high three-game point scoring streak, as the winger has tallied an assist in three-straight games for the Rampage. He has also recorded an assist in his last four games away from AT&T Center and has five points (one goal, four assists) in his last six games. Hazen owns a plus-three rating in his last nine games and hasn't finished a game with a negative rating since Jan. 11. The Val- Belair, Quebec, native played in nine games for the Rampage last season, but spent the majority of the year with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, where he recorded 12 goals and 19 assists in 48 games.
