McNeill Assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - It was announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned defenseman Reid McNeill from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Skating in his first pro season, McNeill has recorded four assists and 39 penalty minutes in 25 games with the Nailers.

Originally from London, Ontario, McNeill split three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (2009-12) with the London Knights and Barrie Colts, totaling 23 points (7G-16A) and 162 PIM in 166 contests. McNeill, 20, was a sixth-round selection (#170) of Pittsburgh in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins host the Binghamton Senators on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 7:05PM.
