Barons Take Part In Bart & Nadia Health Festival

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons are taking part in the Bart and Nadia Sports and Health Festival this weekend at the Cox Convention Center. The event is free and open to the public Saturday, February 16 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Barons and members of the Oklahoma City Youth Hockey Association (OKCYHA) are providing a floor hockey demonstration throughout the event on Saturday. In addition, the Barons have other interactive displays which allow participants to hold hockey sticks and shoot hockey pucks. The Ice Girls and Derrick the Mountain Lion are also participating.

The Bart & Nadia Health and Wellness Festival is an annual event that showcases healthy living and an active lifestyle. The festival includes booths about nutrition, healthcare, exercise and sports activities. Attendees can participate in a variety of hands-on activities as well as view rowing, powerlifting and archery competitions.

Oklahoma City hits the road for two games this weekend against the Texas Stars, the AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Faceoff for Friday night's game is 7:30 p.m., while faceoff for Saturday night's game is 7 p.m. Both games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
