Lincoln Saltdogs News Release
LINCOLN - Lincoln Saltdogs baseball will continue to be broadcast over the airwaves on KFOR 1240 through 2016, as the club and its flagship station recently extended their partnership.
"The Saltdogs organization is extremely pleased to be able to continue our relationship with KFOR," Saltdogs President Charlie Meyer said. "It has been a terrific arrangement for both sides since professional baseball was reintroduced into the Lincoln community in 2001."
Broadcasts of Lincoln Saltdogs baseball air on KFOR 1240 and stream online at www.kfor1240.com and www.saltdogs.com beginning 30 minutes before the first pitch, followed by play-by-play coverage of the game and a ten minute postgame show with full highlights.
"We are very excited for another season of Lincoln Saltdogs baseball on KFOR 1240," KFOR Program Director Chris Goforth said. "KFOR has been the radio home of Saltdogs baseball for 11 seasons and we are looking forward to continuing that partnership for Season 12 and beyond."
Drew Bontadelli is in his second season - third overall - as the play-by-play announcer for all 100 American Association games. Jeff Briden returns for his 10th season as studio host on the radio broadcasts and is once again joined by Chris Wood (fifth season) and Gabe Kramer (second season).
The Saltdogs open the 2012 campaign May 17 at Wichita with the home opener at Haymarket Park May 23 against Sioux City. Get your Saltdogs Five Pack (five lower-box tickets for just $50!) now by calling 402-474-BALL or by visiting www.saltdogs.com.
