
Salmon Kings' Gajic Returns For Playoff Drive

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Milan Gajic has been returned by the Houston Aeros of the AHL after being promoted on March 17th.
The Burnaby, BC native is in his second season with Victoria. He finished eighth in points for the Salmon Kings collecting 40 points (15g-25a) in only 34 games. Last year he participated in 63 games for the Salmon Kings recording 24 goals and 41 assists.
Gajic played in seven games for the Aeros in his most recent call-up and accumulated 4 goals. He also notched a hat trick on April 4th versus the Peoria Rivermen on route to a 5-0 Aeros victory.
The 6-0, 193lb Gajic has been signed three times this season by AHL teams. His first call up came in December when he played in four games for Houston garnering 2 points (0g-2a). He was returned to the Kings on December 3, 2007, but was again promoted on December 11, by the Manitoba Moose. He competed in 16 games for the Moose collecting 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points.
Gajic has spent time in the AHL the previous two seasons. Last year he suited up for the Manitoba Moose for six games collecting two goals and three assists. In 2005-06 he played in 17 games for the Providence Bruins collecting one assist.
The Salmon Kings playoff roster is 23 players (12 forwards, 8 defensemen and 2 goalies). Victoria still has one player recalled to the AHL to round out the roster.
The Salmon Kings will play Game 3 of their opening-round Kelly Cup Playoff series against the Condors in Bakersfield tonight. The fourth game is scheduled for Wednesday, and Game 5 is set for Saturday night at Rabobank Arena in California. If necessary, the series will return to Victoria and Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for Game 6 on April 22nd, followed by a potential Game 7 on April 23rd.
